About faculty

The Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration was founded in 1990 at Transilvania University of Brașov and has meanwhile developed scientific and educational cooperation with prestigious universities in the European Union and the United States. Special interest has been granted to relations with the Université d'Orléans, Université de Nantes, Université Paris XII, Universität Trier, Universität Wiesbaden, Universität Bochum, Université de Lausanne, Università Catolica di Milano, Università di Perugia, Università di Pescara, Università di Venezia.

The cooperation programmes dedicated to research with universities in the country have been renewed and we make efforts to enhance the efficiency of cooperation with the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, the Institutes of Economic Research of the Romanian Academy, Babeş Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, University of Craiova, Valahia University of Târgovişte, Dunărea de Jos University of Galați.

Erasmus+ supports the development of the European dimension of undergraduate and postgraduate studies, the programme covering all disciplines and fields of study. The aim is to expand the forms of cooperation at the level of higher education, offering as many partner institutions as possible the opportunity to participate in transnational projects and to capitalize on information technology for mutual benefit. The Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration has collaborative relationships within the Erasmus+ Program with universities in Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, England, Ireland, Spain, the Czech Republic.

University campus

Students of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration benefit from accommodation in the two campuses (Memorandum Campus and Colina University Campus).

The integrated computer system S.I.G.U.R. has been implemented in both locations in order to facilitate students’ access to information.

Meals can be served at the two canteen-restaurants in the student campuses.

Sports facilities are offered by the three gyms and the three sports fields of the university.

Most of the students of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration are involved in student organizations, such as:

  • AIESEC - International Association of Students in Economics and Business
  • CRSUT - Council of student representatives of Transilvania University of Brașov
  • ALMA MATER BRASOVENSIS Association - ALUMNI is a non-profit organization whose mission is to obtain permanent feedback from university graduates, implicitly some graduates of our faculty and the development of collaborative social, economic and cultural relationships between the institution and graduates for mutual benefits.
